The CWT X 25 iDEN system is a powerful network optimization tool specifically
designed for use in complex digital networks. The X 25 iDEN supports two iDEN
phones and an iDEN scanner for iDEN network analysis and in-depth RF engineering
tasks.
The advanced GUI of the X 25 provides an array of technology-specific data
displays, as well as a moving map, in both Real-Time and post-test Replay
operation. X 25 collects and logs all information all the time, regardless of
the data the user chooses to display on the screen at a given moment.
The iDEN band-specific scanner provides rapid, accurate measurements of all
iDEN channels, while blocking energy from adjacent cellular bands.

Product Overview
The X 25 iDEN has been designed specifically to meet
the needs of RF engineers for the task of optimizing complex digital networks.
The tool supports two phones and a customdesigned iDEN scanner, and it provides
an array of data displays, including a moving map, for in-field or post-test
analysis requirements.
iDEN Phone Support
The X 25 offers support for two phones for iDEN
optimization and to support complex RF engineering tasks. The phones can
beconfigured internally or externally for flexibility to meet various testing
requirements.
* Internal configuration provides RF shielding to lessen
the effects of interference between the phones and to provide reference RF
measurements.
* External configuration allows the test
data to be highly correlated to actual subscriber experience, as the phone
antenna is used and the phones can be mounted anywhere in the vehicle.
iDEN Scanner Support
The X 25 is configurable with an iDEN band
scanner, allowing for precise measurement of the RF environment.
* Custom designed for iDEN operation, the scanner offers
high adjacent channel rejection and filters out extraneous out-of-band energy
from cellular frequencies.
* Its high IIP3 point ensures
accurate measurement even in strong signal environments close to cell sites or
competing broadcasters where a phone would saturate.
Concise, Configurable Data Displays
The X 25 supports a flexible,
powerful GUI made up of a control bar, an alarm bar, and several sizable data
displays, including real-time displays, iDEN specific data displays, a summary
screen, and a moving map. All displays, including the moving map, are available
in real time and post test — facilitating in-field and in-office troubleshooting
and analysis.
Replay
The Replay feature allows the user to perform post-test analysis
with access to all displays exactly as they appeared during the actual test. All
displays, including the moving map, are synchronized during Replay. When the
user clicks on a point on the map or on a Layer 3 message, all information on
the various displays will synchronize to that point in time.
workBENCH
WorkBENCH is a comprehensive report and chart generation
software package, designed specifically for post-processing of CWT drive test
data. WorkBENCH simplifies the production of management reports and analysis
plots and charts. Its key benefits are simplicity, flexibility, and an emphasis
on facilitating the optimization process.
Advanced Data Displays
X 25 supports a flexible, user-configurable
interface for displaying complex data. The system allows the user to combine any
set of data displays, and to resize them to fit analysis requirements. The user
can save display configurations for custom display setup. The iDEN specific data
displays highlight critical network data, allowing the user to view the call
environment at a glance.
The advanced data displays are available in Real-Time or post-test Replay
operation. These
data displays, combined with voice alarms and the moving
map, provide a powerful in-field optimization capability. During post-test
operation, the same displays are available for use with the moving map and
workBENCH for in-office troubleshooting and analysis. In either environment, the
displays provide a great deal of detailed information in a user-controlled,
easy-to-understand format.
