Fujikura FSM-20RS12 Arc Fusion Splicer
The FSM-20RS12 ARC Fusion Splicer is used to splice optical single fiber or
fiber ribbons. The FSM-20RS12 can splice up to 12 fiber ribbons.
This Fusion Splicer has installed a 4 inch LCD monitor and a heater for
spliced portion reinforcement. Besides, it has a built-in microprocessor to
perform image processing so that automatic fusion splicing with estimated loss
can be achieved. This Fusion Splicer can use AC100-240V 50/60Hz. (Max. 3A) or
DC12V (Max. 10A) power sources
Features
- Fiber Splicing Capabilities : SM, MM
- Splice Loss Estimation Function / Calculation Capability
- Atmosphere, humidity and temperature compensation functions
provided
- 3" LCD monitor with excellent view ability in direct sunlight
- Memory : 100 splice data sets with internal memory
- High Intensity Halogen Inspection Lamp
Fujikura FSM20RS Ribbon fusion splicer utilizes a PAS (Profile Alignment
System) that aligns the core of single-mode and the cladding of multimode
fibers. A built in monitor allows cross-sectional viewing of the prepared fiber
ends, and displays cleave angle and estimated splice loss. the system will
splice both single-mode and mult-mode fibers. Alignment, fusion and splice loss
estimation are automatically completed by the built-in computer. Applicable
fibers: SMF at 1310nm; DSF at 1550nm; GI fibers. Average splice loss: 0.03 dB
(SMF); 0.05 dB (DSF); 0.02 dB (GI). Includes a built-in tube heater for
installing splice protective sleeves. AC- or external 12 Vdc- powered
PK7500 OTDR
The Model 7500 Mini-OTDR ( OPTICAL TIME DOMAIN REFECTOMETER ) offers >32dB
of Dynamic range, 20 meter attenuation dead zone and 5 meter event dead zone.
There is an Auto Test function and information is displayed on a 9.4-inch , VGA,
LCD screen.
The Model is ideal for use in telecom , CATV, LAN, and
manufacturing applications.
TELECOM The Model 7500's
dynamic range can be used for testing long trunk or interoffice fiber spans. The
unit's short dead zone allows closely spaced features to be measured. Configured
with the visual fault locator option, the Model 7500 will troubleshoot fiber in
splice cabinets/enclosures, giving a virtual "zero" dead zone
performance.
CATV The Loss Table automatically
calculates the reflectance of mechanical splices as well as the Optical Return
Loss (ORL) for the fiber span. The optional OTDR emulation software for your PC
allows you to analyze data and generate hard copy documentation in your
office.
LAN The Model 7500 offers single-mode and
multimode plug-ins that can be used in LAN applictations where there is a need
to test different types of fiber cable or composite cable. The Auto Test
function allows fast, easy measurements without a skilled operator. Size,
weight, and battery operation give the Model 7500 optimum portability. (includes
only Single-Mode Module 742s)
MANUFACTURING The
Model 7500's dynamic range and accuracy make it convenient for quick distance
measurements on the production floor. Attenuation and lenght of fiber may be
obtained quickly by generating a Loss Table.
