Krautkramerﾒs USN-L Series portable ultrasonic flaw detectors can be read easily in bright, direct sunlight. New ﾓtransreflectiveﾔ technology actually uses sunlight to make the display more visible outdoors.

The new USN-L instruments have a fast 60 Hz update rate,LCD display and a fine screen resolution of 480 x 320 pixels . Backlighting is used for excellent visibility indoors or in dark conditions. The L Series instruments include the USN 50L and the USN 52L providing a choice of ultrasonic features to address individual applications.

Trigonometric Flaw Location Function provides measurement information concerning the location of a discontinuity detected during an angle beam test. The function automatically calculates and displays the sound path, projected distance and depth when the instrument is properly calibrated.

Thickness Measurement and Data Recording are provided. Selectable thickness modes enable you to choose the best method for your job. The sequential datalogger provides thickness recording of up to 2500 readings in up to 99 configurable files. Evaluate the first echo in the gate or measure between two echoes - it doesnﾒt matter if the material is painted: you only measure thickness of the metal through paint.
