Encased in an impact-resistant, waterproof housing, this is the "Ruggedized" version of our very popular Fiber Optic Hand-Held Mini OTDR, or Optical Time Domain Reflectometer. You will find that this fiber optic OTDR is ideally suited for fiber optic repair and maintenance applications as well as new installations. You can use the tri-wavelength model, which can test fiber optic systems at 1490nm, for testing Fiber to the Home.
Although very compact, this is a full-featured Fiber Optic OTDR. You can view and store up to 255 traces in the field, then download the traces to your personal computer for further analysis and printing of your certifying documents. Our Fiber Optic Ruggedized Mini-OTDR is a full-function Certifying OTDR when used with the included Certification Software.
You will find that this Fiber Optic Mini OTDR is very fast, producing a trace within one second of pressing the scan button. Among its many features is an easy-to-use Zoom that enables you to observe the entire fiber optic link, or to zoom in on defects. Ruggedized housings are also available on our Power Meters, Light Sources and Test Sets.
