iLID Fusion Splicer

With its many features, the iLID splice system meets the maximum requirements and is the top of the line in the Corning splice system families. Equipped with all the technologies currently used in Corning field fusion splicers, the iLID represents the perfect solution for all single-fiber applications with highest demands. Aside from the greatest possible operator friendliness and maximum range of equipment, the fusion splicer also unifies in itself all of the requirements for a high-speed, dependable, compact, rugged and high-precision field fusion splicer. The integrated PC and the integrated GPS system offer a degree of operator friendliness and equipment features previously inconceivable in the field of fusion splicers.

The new integrated CDSル splice process control system offers an alternative, very rapid system for core-to-core alignment of fibers which are not supposed to be processed with the LID-Systemル. With this system, the speed of the splice process can be reduced to a few seconds. The system achieves splendid splicing results for current fibers with a high core-cladding concentricity.

The familiar L-PASル is employed for quick prealignment, endface evaluation, contamination detection and for fiber position analysis.
