Datacom Textron's NETcat LAN Trouble Shooter is an economical and simple-to-use instrument for testing and maintaining 10BASE-T and coaxial Ethernet networks.
It easily diagnoses many common network problems with its combinations of cable test and network monitoring capabilities. The perfect tool for verifying network moves, adds, and changes.
* The AUTOTEST function automatically performs critical cable tests and reports PASS or FAIL, along with cause for any failure.
* Tests include wiremap, TDR length, near-end crosstalk (NEXT) and attenuation to 16 MHz, signal-to-noise ratio, impedance, impulse noise, and background noise.
* Identifies miswires, opens, shorts, and split pairs using NEXT testing. Identifies distance to any cable damage.
* Monitors Ethernet traffic for utilization, collisions, hub link pulse, and jabber.
* Battery powered.
