The DigiTrak® F2® Directional Drilling Locating System features DCI’s patented 3D antenna configuration, an increased depth range, two transmitter frequencies, intuitive graphics, lithium-ion batteries, and icon-driven menus that make it easy to learn.

Target-in-the-box® locating lets you walk directly to a locate point from any direction. Multiple transmitter options in two frequencies help overcome jobsite interference better than ever at depths of up to 90 ft (27.4 m). The 12-kHz DucTrak™ transmitters track existing non-metallic ducts. Electronic roll offset allows the transmitter’s 12 o’clock position to be easily corrected to match that of the drill head.

The F2 receiver gives a bird’s-eye view of the relative positions of the receiver and transmitter. It also provides the transmitter’s roll, pitch, signal strength, temperature, and battery strength. During a depth reading, the depth display shows a side view of the drill head along with the bird’s-eye view, providing the transmitter’s location in three dimensions on the same screen. The F2 provides depth readings over the transmitter and predicted depth readings at the front locate point (FLP), allowing for tracking on-the-fly over a level drill path. All of this information is sent to the remote F-Series display (FSD™) on the drill rig.

The F2 receiver is a handheld unit used for locating and tracking an F2 transmitter. The receiver converts signals from the transmitter and displays the following information: depth, pitch, roll, temperature, and battery level. The F2 receiver can send this same information to the remote display at the drill rig.
