Flir A315 Thermal Imaging Camera
The FLIR A315 is a fixed-mount thermal imaging camera designed to measure temperature without touching the object being monitored. It detects infrared radiation and turns it into thermal images, allowing operators to see heat patterns and identify areas that are hotter or cooler than expected. Unlike a handheld camera, the A315 is intended to stay installed where ongoing observation is needed.
The camera is useful in manufacturing, electronics testing, and equipment monitoring. It can help operators watch a process as it runs, check whether parts are heating evenly, or investigate a component that may be overheating. Because it measures temperature remotely, it can observe moving objects or equipment that would be difficult to check with a contact thermometer.
The A315 produces 320 × 240 pixel thermal images and sends image and temperature data to a computer over Ethernet. Its support for GigE Vision and GenICam helps it work with compatible machine-vision software, so thermal information can become part of a larger inspection or monitoring system. Motorized focus lets the camera be adjusted for the area being viewed.
For facilities that need repeated temperature checks, the A315 provides a way to monitor the same location over time and review changes in heat patterns. It is suited to applications where a thermal image provides more insight than a single temperature reading, from examining electronic assemblies to observing industrial processes.
Features:
- 320 × 240 thermal resolution for viewing heat patterns and measuring temperature.
- Radiometric images, which carry temperature data for analysis not just a colored picture.
- Thermal sensitivity below 0.05°C (50 mK) to show small temperature differences.
- Motorized focus that can be adjusted automatically or manually.
- Ethernet connection with GigE Vision and GenICam support for compatible machine-vision software.
- Digital input and outputs for connecting the camera to other equipment in an automated system.
- Interchangeable lens options for different viewing areas and distances.
- Fixed-mount design for ongoing monitoring of a process or piece of equipment.
