Flir A615 Machine Vision Thermal Camera
The FLIR A615 is a fixed-mount thermal machine vision camera designed to measure temperature without touching the object being inspected. Its 640 × 480-pixel infrared sensor produces detailed thermal images that can help automated systems detect heat patterns and temperature changes.
The camera is used in condition monitoring, process control, quality assurance, and fire prevention. In a production setting, it can help identify products or equipment that are hotter or cooler than expected. Those measurements can be used to flag items for inspection or prompt a response from a connected system.
The A615 streams full-frame, 16-bit thermal images at up to 50 Hz. For faster processes, it can stream smaller image areas at higher rates. Its temperature-linear output lets compatible software work with temperature data as well as the thermal image.
The camera connects to a computer through Gigabit Ethernet and supports GigE Vision and GenICam, making it suitable for integration with machine vision software. Digital inputs and outputs allow it to exchange signals with other equipment, such as a trigger or an automated control system.
With a choice of lenses and remote camera control, the A615 can be adapted to different inspection distances and fields of view. It provides a way to add repeatable thermal measurements to an automated workflow, helping operators spot temperature-related problems and document results over time.
