Flir SC4000 Science Grade Infrared Thermal Imager

The ThermoVision SC Series cameras are the new standard for science and research thermal imaging and measurement applications. The rugged one-piece design and single cable PC connectivity creates a simplified system set-up without compromising the high-performance features required by today's demanding IR user.

Each day researchers throughout the world are looking for new methods to help them solve their scientific questions. Infrared thermography has proven to be an invaluable tool to solve a wide variety of scientific problems. Because of its non-destructive analysis capacities, thermography systems have become indispensable instruments for a wide variety of Research & Development applications. FLIR Systems’ latest development, the ThermoVision SC4000 and SC6000 are the new standards for science and research thermal imaging and measurement applications.

The ThermoVision SC4000 and SC6000 are high-speed, high resolution, high sensitivity, science-grade infrared cameras with a Gigabit Ethernet interface for maximum flexibility and performance. The rugged one-piece design and single cable PC connectivity creates a simplified system setup without compromising the high image performance required by today’s demanding scientific infrared users.

Multiple Wavebands

The ThermoVision SC4000 and SC6000 cameras are available with different detectors to cover the Mid Wave Infrared region (between 3.0 and 5.0 microns) and the Long Wave Infrared region (between 8 and 9.2 microns).

Different Detectors with Different Resolutions

In addition to multiple wavebands, the ThermoVision SC cameras are also available in two detector sizes. Users that do not need the extremely high image quality offered by the ThermoVision SC6000 with a 640 x 512 pixel detector can choose the ThermoVision SC4000 that incorporates a 320 x 256 pixel detector.

Adjustable Frame Rates

Within the Researcher software the user can adjust the frame rate output of the SC4000/SC6000 camera. This can be done with adjustability down to 1Hz of the camera output.

The ThermoVision SC4000 and SC6000 seamlessly integrate with the new ThermaCAM Researcher software. FLIR Systems ThermaCAM Researcher allows plug and play. It is very easy to use for static or real-time image analysis. It contains powerful measurement and analysis functions for extensive temperature analysis, including isotherms, line profiles, area histograms, image subtraction capability and many more. Windows based and extremely versatile, ThermaCAM Researcher adds a new level of power and flexibility to thermal imaging by off ering extensive analysis capabilities as well as high speed data acquisition.

Researcher seamlessly stores, retrieves and analyses IR images and data directly from your IR camera allowing in-depth and precise evaluation of thermal performance.
