FTK 100 Fiber Optical Test Kit
The FTK100 is for contractors who install a few fiber links and have little need for automated storage results.
Fluke's basic package gives you the equipment needed to test and inspect multimode fiber optic links effectively and quickly. A fiber meter, source and accessories are combined in this compact kit for easy access and transport. Extremely easy to use, two compact and rugged fiber testers ensure equipment uptime and keep the job moving. Use the FTK100 to measure optical power and loss at 850 nm, 1300 nm, 1310 nm and 1550 nm.Model FM130 Fiber Meter measures loss of multimode or singlemode fibers and output power from optical sources such as network interface cards and optical test equipment. Power is displayed in dBm, loss in dB and output power in dBm or µW. Loss readings are compared to stored reference level of currently selected wavelength. Setting a reference lets meter automatically subtract losses due to patch cords from loss measurements. Loss for fiber under test is automatically calculated as the difference between reference loss and loss with fiber inserted. A separate reference value stored for each wavelength is unaffected by turning meter off or changing battery. Use removable adaptor cap with ST connector with multimode or singlemode patch cords. Meter operates for up to 50 hours on a single 9-V battery. Automatic power-down conserves battery power. Instant battery check feature displays remaining battery life.
The FOS-850/1300 Fiber Optic Source provides light for multimode testing at 850 nm and 1300 nm. It features a slide switch to select output and one ST connector for each output. Includes meter with 9-V battery installed, ST adapter cap with dust cap, source with 9-V battery and dust cap installed. The optional NF40 "Fiber Optic Reference Guide" provides full in-depth fiber information.
