Fluke Norma 4000 Single Phase Power Analyzer
The Fluke Norma 4000 Single Phase Power Analyzer is a precision electrical measurement instrument used to evaluate how equipment consumes and converts power. In a single-phase configuration, it measures voltage and current through one installed power phase module. The Norma 4000 platform can accommodate up to three modules, so its capabilities depend on the configuration purchased.
The analyzer measures active power, reactive power, apparent power, power factor and other electrical values. These measurements help engineers understand energy consumption and the relationship between voltage and current. Its integration function also measures energy over a selected period, supporting comparisons between operating conditions.
The Norma 4000 is designed for testing and developing motors, inverters, lighting equipment, power supplies, transformers and automotive components. Its high-bandwidth measurement system allows engineers to examine complex electrical waveforms produced by power electronics. Measurement accuracy, sampling rate and bandwidth vary with the installed input module.
For detailed analysis, the instrument provides harmonic measurements up to the 40th harmonic, Fast Fourier Transformation analysis and a digital oscilloscope mode. These functions help users examine waveform distortion and frequency content. A vector display shows phase relationships, while the recorder function tracks changes in measured values over time.
A 5.7-inch color display presents readings, waveforms and graphs directly on the instrument. Fluke NormaView PC software supports downloading measurements for further analysis and report preparation. With its compact metal housing and configurable measurement modules, the Norma 4000 is suited to laboratory benches, equipment development and field testing where detailed power measurements are required.
