Fluke RotAlign Elite Laser Shaft Alignment System
The Fluke RotAlign Elite is a laser shaft alignment system for rotating industrial machinery. Technicians use it to check and correct the position of connected machines, such as a motor and pump, so their shafts line up within the required tolerances.
The system mounts a laser and a dual-detector sensor on the machine shafts. As the shafts are rotated, it measures their relative positions and calculates both angular and offset misalignment. The results show how far the machine needs to move to bring the shafts into alignment.
RotAlign Elite guides technicians through setup, measurement, adjustment, and verification on a tablet. Its Live Move function shows horizontal and vertical corrections as the machine is adjusted, allowing technicians to see the effect of each movement before taking a final reading.
For more complex jobs, the system supports spacer couplings, multi-machine trains, and Cardan shaft arrangements. It can diagnose soft foot, a condition in which a machine does not sit evenly on its mounting surface. Measurement review tools also help technicians identify unreliable readings before completing the job.
Accurate shaft alignment can reduce vibration, component wear, and energy loss in rotating equipment. RotAlign Elite records the measurements and can produce reports documenting the machine’s condition before and after adjustment, giving maintenance teams a clear record of the work performed.
