Presented by the universal ultrasonic instrument USN 58L: the transflective (i.e. contrast by external light) color LCD is the optimum choice for use in a bright environment. Even with direct sunlight, the display is still easily readable - an advantage that every operator will appreciate in field applications.
New digitizing and signal processing methods as well as a display refresh rate of 60 Hz have added another highlight to this instrument: with its very fast display refresh, the USN 58L makes up for the lead in display speed that analog instruments previously had.
Proven performance features
of the successful Krautkramer instruments USN 50/52 were adopted or further improved:
- Calibration range from 1 mm to 12 m for minimum and maximum sized workpieces
- Large frequency range from 0.25 to 25 MHz for optimum probe matching
- Pulse repetition frequency from 15 to 2000 Hz, automatically linked with the calibration range or manually adjustable
- 2-point calibration: easy, fast, and very accurate
- Material tables with 65 sound velocities stored in the instrument
