KITCO’s line of UL listed Epoxy fiber optic ovens are designed to cure epoxy or soften pre-loaded adhesive inside a fiber optic connector. Small and lightweight for easy portability, these ovens are perfect for any job site, and are designed with the installer in mind. While many ovens take up to 30 minutes to reach proper curing temperature, Epoxy ovens are ready in less than four minutes! The aluminum heater block transfers the precise heat needed to cure most fiber optic epoxies, while keeping the housing cool to ensure a rapid cool down. A detachable BME power cord allows for easy storage inside a termination kit. Both the Epoxy 8-port and the 3M HotMelt™ 6-port ovens are also now available with 230VAC power cords designed to accommodate most European power outlets. Made of rugged steel and powder-coat painted for durability, these ovens will last for many years.
The Dual-Purpose Oven includes an 8 port epoxy heater block and a 6 port HotMelt™ heater block, each with its own switch and set to its own precise temperature. Finally an installer can use one oven for both epoxy and HotMelt™ applications!
