The Megger MIT430/2 1000 V Insulation Tester is a handheld instrument for checking the condition of electrical insulation. Electricians and maintenance technicians use it to test cables, motors, electrical installations, and other equipment, helping identify insulation deterioration that could cause leakage current or electrical faults.

It applies a controlled DC test voltage and measures insulation resistance. The MIT430/2 offers 50, 100, 250, 500, and 1,000 V settings, plus an adjustable test-voltage function. Its insulation resistance range extends to 200 GΩ, allowing users to assess highly resistive insulation.

The tester also performs continuity testing and measures AC and DC voltage up to 600 V. Polarization index (PI) and dielectric absorption ratio (DAR) functions evaluate how insulation resistance changes over time, providing additional information about insulation condition.

For maintenance records, the MIT430/2 can store results and transfer them through Bluetooth. Its IP54-rated enclosure, CAT IV 600 V safety rating, and live-circuit detection support field use. These capabilities help technicians perform repeatable checks and track equipment condition over time.
