PhotoResearch PR-704 Spectroradiometer
The PR-704 Fast Spectral Scanning System is a self-scanning linear photodiode array spectroradiometer designed for rapid spectral analysis, luminance or photometric brightness, and color measurement.
The system is controlled by an IBM PC or compatible AT-bus personal computer.
The PR-704 is a fast scanning spectroradiometer that acquires the spectrum of optical radiation from 380nm to 780nm simultaneously, not serially. This permits accurate analysis of color and intensity of both steady-state (power) and pulsed (energy) light sources in as little as 13 milliseconds.
Each measurement cycle consists of two parts, measurement of the optical radiation (Light) and a measurement of equal length where no radiation is permitted to strike the detector (Dark). The Dark measurement data is subtracted from the Light measurement data to yield relative point-to-point data. The relative data is assigned to a wavelength band, corrected for intensity and made available to other software functions (calculations, display, print store/recall, etc.).
Optical Head Interface Board
The Optical Head Interface Board is a full-length AT-bus card installed in the personal computer. The card provides the interface between the Optical Head and the computer and software controlling the Optical Head.
Personal Computer
An IBM or compatible (AT-bus) personal computer controls the system. A single full-length (13-1/2-inch) slot for the Optical Head Interface Board is required. The PC Is used to control the measurement, calculate measured results, and store and recall data. The data can be displayed on a CGA, EGA or VGA monitor.
SpectraView Software
Provides full-featured spectroradiometric measurement and calculation capabilities.
