The RIDGID SeekTech SR-24LE is a portable underground utility locating receiver designed to help professionals find and trace buried cables and pipes. It combines electromagnetic signal detection with integrated GPS and Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity. Construction crews, utility technicians, and maintenance professionals use it to investigate underground infrastructure and document utility routes.

The locator uses omnidirectional antennas to detect electromagnetic fields associated with underground utilities. Its display provides guidance for following a detected line and assessing its position and estimated depth. This helps operators trace a utility’s route across a work area and mark its suspected location on the surface.

The SR-24LE supports active line tracing when paired with a compatible transmitter that applies a signal to the target utility. It also supports passive locating of existing power and radio-frequency signals. For pipe inspection applications, it can detect compatible sondes, which are small transmitters used to identify a particular point inside a pipe.

Its integrated GPS records geographic position, while Bluetooth enables communication with compatible external devices. Together, these features support collecting locating information for mapping and documentation. GPS identifies the receiver’s position above ground; the electromagnetic locating system detects the buried utility.
