The Rohde & Schwarz ZNH18 is a portable, two-port vector network analyzer designed to test radio-frequency and microwave components from 30 kHz to 18 GHz. It combines network analysis with cable and antenna testing in a handheld instrument, making it useful for laboratory work, installation, maintenance, and field troubleshooting.
The ZNH18 measures how signals pass through a device and how much signal reflects back. Its full two-port capability measures all four S-parameters S11, S21, S12, and S22 to evaluate reflection and transmission in both directions. These measurements help characterize filters, amplifiers, cables, and other RF components.
For cable and antenna testing, the analyzer helps technicians assess signal loss and impedance matching, which affect how efficiently a system transfers RF energy. Comparing measurements across frequency reveals where a component performs correctly and where problems occur, helping users verify equipment and diagnose faults.
A touchscreen, battery operation, and rugged IP51-rated housing support portable use. Optional capabilities include time-domain analysis, vector voltmeter measurements, and power measurements with compatible sensors.
