Technicians place two sensitive microphones at accessible points, such as valves or hydrants. The unit compares when the leak sound reaches each microphone and uses the pipe’s length, diameter, and material to calculate the leak’s location. This helps repair crews narrow down where to excavate, even when surrounding noise makes a leak difficult to hear. The Professional version also supports saving and reviewing measurements and producing reports.
