The VIAVI OneExpert DSP ONX-220 is a handheld field service meter for installing and troubleshooting cable TV and broadband service. Technicians use it to check the signal traveling through a coaxial cable network and verify that a customer’s connection is ready for service. Its rugged design and touchscreen interface make it practical for work at a neighborhood tap, a building’s ground block, or inside a customer’s premises.

The ONX-220 measures and analyzes downstream and upstream signals, including the channels used by DOCSIS cable internet service. It helps technicians spot problems such as weak signal levels, interference, and intermittent errors that can cause slow speeds or unreliable service. Its AutoChannel feature detects the channel lineup, while automated OneCheck tests bring key measurements together in a pass/fail view.
