The NFKx-LAUNCH launch fibers are used with the OF-500 OptiFiber™ tester during OTDR tests. Using a launch fiber lets the tester measure the loss of the first connector in the cabling. You may also use a NFKx-LAUNCH fiber as a receive fiber. Using a receive fiber lets the tester measure the loss of the last connector in the cabling.
