The TREND Networks SignalTEK 10G NT is a handheld Ethernet troubleshooter and bandwidth tester designed for technicians who install, maintain, and upgrade copper networks. Its main and remote units work together to check whether a cable link can carry reliable network traffic at speeds up to 10 Gb/s.
The tester measures the maximum available bandwidth of a link and provides pass or fail results for 1, 2.5, 5, and 10 Gb/s Ethernet performance. This helps technicians assess existing cabling before a network upgrade and identify links that may be limiting speed. It also checks cable wiring, length, and the distance to certain faults.
For active networks, the NT model adds tools to investigate connection problems, including switch speed checks, VLAN information, ping, traceroute, and port identification. It can also assess Power over Ethernet availability up to 90 W, helping technicians determine whether a connection can support equipment such as wireless access points and security cameras.
The SignalTEK 10G NT is built for field work, with a touchscreen and clear results that make testing easier to carry out on site. Built-in Wi-Fi connects it to TREND AnyWARE Cloud, where test results can be organized and turned into PDF reports. Together, its cable qualification and network diagnostic functions help document performance and resolve faults with confidence.
